Featured Projects

I wrote a chapter in the book Dakini Power by Michaela Haas (Snow Lion, 2013). Called "Fearless, Fierce, and Fragile," the chapter is about Roshi Joan Halifax, one of American Buddhism's most charismatic and influential teachers. Dakini Power profiles 12 powerful women Buddhist leaders. Read an excerpt from my chapter.

For Laureate International Universities, I wrote the content for a 2013 multimedia marketing campaign about the value of arts education. I authored an 88-page booklet profiling 30 alumni of Laureate design and art schools (here's an excerpt), and I wrote the text elements for an inspiring video featuring these alums at work. I also created the copy for two flyers about careers in design and careers in the arts

In early 2013, I traveled to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil, to write a story about people who teach yoga in the favelas, the notoriously dangerous slums. The story is slated to appear in the Summer 2013 issue of Yoga International magazine.
